Bruxelles Bound

One family’s faith journey

About Us

euans-family004We are a family headed to do church planting work in Europe, namely Brussels Belgium. We (David and Joanna) were married on May 20th, 2000. Eleri was the first to join the family on Oct. 16, 2004 with Adley Cait announcing herself on May 2, 2006.  On September 30th, 2009 we welcomed our little boy Clive into this world!

It’s been a journey since we first met in college studying music. It was there at the University of Akron that we dated for 3 years before getting married and then moving to Baltimore, MD. In Maryland, we had the pleasure of working together for 2 years in an elementary school where we taught music to kids in grades k-5. After 2 years of teaching, David joined the US Navy Band which brought us to Norfolk, and Tabernacle Church.  Their heart and passion for missions grabbed our hearts and began to raise questions in our minds about what God may be calling us to.

In 2005 we felt the call to missions and Brussels specifically so we decided to pursue the direction God was leading. Over the past few years we have gone through an immense amount of decision making and transitioning into the life of full time missions work. David is officially done with the Navy and we have been interning at our Church for the past two years. Since we realized we will be here a while longer raising support than we originally thought, David has taken a teaching position at Norfolk Christian.  We are also continuing a part time internship at Tabernacle Church of Norfolk.

We are passionate about this call and believe that God is going to accomplish more than we can even ask or think in Brussels and beyond.

Our family is in Lisbon with CA as well. We just celebrated 1 year on the field. Try to enjoy raising support. God does incredible things during the process of getting here. The Brussels team is awesome! You will have great support when you arrive.
